China Invades Brooklyn...we knew it was coming

The Chinese Underground Invasion tour arrives in NYC Thursday, 11/5, at Powerhouse Arena in DUMBO, and Friday, 11/6, at Glasslands. Maybe Mars, Beijing's premier indie label, has sent over three of their best acts to tear down the halls of Brooklyn. Carsick Cars, PK-14, and Xiao He will have the first of their US dates in the home of Powerhouse Books to celebrate the Book/Exhibition launch of Matthew Niederhauser's new project Sound Kapital: Beijing's Music Underground. The Arena is a 5,000 square foot venue complete with glass facade and lots of artsy bells and whistles. Glasslands hosts art exhibits, parties and concerts every week all week. Glasslands will host Brooklyn locals These Are Powers, Soft Circle, and DJ Zachary Mexico in addition to the international acts.
